Thank you! I loved making this recipe for the cookbook, and the photographer did a wonderful job too! If you wanted to try this with tuna, I would recommend a slightly different, yet very traditional approach. Use canned tuna to make a tuna salad instead of using tuna cubes, that's the way I learned to cook the dish. This recipe https://tastecooking.com/recipes/vegan-causa-limena/ uses chickpeas instead of canned tuna but the process would be the same with canned tuna, though I recommend tasting the filling before adding salt since canned tuna usually has salt in the oil or brine. Enjoy!
They're quite picturesque and intriguing flavors and history - thank you for sharing this one!
Thank you! For more about the history of this dish, I invite you to check out my story (and a different but similar recipe) here: https://tastecooking.com/mashed-potatoes-are-better-cold/ cheers!
I appreciate you sharing this!
These look SOOO good, thanks! If we wanted to make these for a potluck and include some non-vegan rolls, we could just put in tuna cubes?

Oh thank you so much! We do like to experiment, but we also love to see how a dish was made traditionally ☺️
