Ok. You brought tears to my eyes. I can’t wait for little Rio to start cooking with us. We had a wonderful inter generational time with you in Portland. Thank you for your delicious food. Besos. Aunt Gabby

What an amazingly rich cultural heritage you have, because of your mother and her love of cooking. How wonderful that you inherited her passion for food and stories and are passing it on -- to your children, and to all of us who follow you here. Beautiful photos!

Nico, thank you for sharing this personal piece. It was truly endearing to read, glimpse and envision your mother's trajectory and that more-recent reunion (and subsequent cooking).

Sounds delicious. You are in Oregon? I watched the 2017 eclipse from Newport Beach. Loved the place. It was my first time in US and I would go back there anytime. Food is great, all the different cultures. Had a fab time there.
